Dr. Michelle Maher
PROGRAMME MANAGER - SEE HER ELECTED (SHE)

Michelle is employed by Longford Women’s Link; an NGO and social enterprise based in Longford Town as Programme Manager of SHE.
​
The SHE programme is a community led initiative to support women in rural constituencies into politics.
​
She holds a 1 st class honours degree in history and politics from Maynooth University.
In 2016 she was awarded her PhD from the Department of Sociology, Maynooth University for her thesis on the politics of pension policy making in Ireland.
Prior to joining See Her Elected in January 2020, Michelle held a postdoctoral research position in the Maynooth University Social Sciences Institute and lectured on the University’s undergraduate politics degree course.
